Q&A Coding for Employee Assistant Program (EAP) visits

In the webinar from 08/11/15 it was mentioned that Work Comp, Auto and Personal Injury insurance companies were not on board yet with ICD-10. Since EAP can be work related I was wondering if they will be doing the same thing; sticking with ICD-9 verses moving forward with ICD-10?

My other question I have is does anyone know if there is a crosswalk available for Chiropractic. I have my own billing service and just signed on our first chiropractor. AAPC created an awesome one for Mental Health, but is not offering one for Chiropractic, any ideas?

Check with any non-covered entity your practice works with to verify whether they’re making the switch.

So it depends on the payer and their decision to get on board with ICD-10 or not.

I attended some sort of ICD10 weekly update conference call. I think it was throiugh ICD-10 watch and they were mentining that a lot of these agencies not required to are switching to ICD-10 and some states i believe may be requiring it for workers comp. But as said above check with each payer directly is the best bet.
